Business Mitra Capital is a Pune-based fundraising consultancy. We prepare founders for investor conversations and facilitate introductions to independent investors, with rigour, discretion and no promises we cannot keep.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between founders building something real and the investors who evaluate opportunities like theirs. We believe a credible business deserves a fair hearing, and that a fair hearing requires preparation.
We work on the parts that decide the outcome: the commercial story, the operating assumptions, the documentation, and the context an investor needs before a conversation is worth having.
We envision a market where ambitious founders across India can access the preparation and the relationships needed to present their business properly, where outcomes follow substance rather than proximity.
That means building long-term relationships instead of transactions. We invest our time in mentorship, structure and strategic planning so the businesses we prepare can hold their own in any room they enter.
Business Mitra Capital began in 2023 from a simple observation in Pune: capable founders were struggling to raise, not for lack of innovation, but for lack of access and preparation. We set out to make that process legible.
Since then we have built a working network of angel investors, venture capital contacts and financial specialists who share that view. We act as the bridge, preparing the founder, framing the opportunity, and facilitating conversations where there is genuine fit.
We are a consultancy, not a fund. We do not invest our own capital and we do not promise outcomes. What we offer is rigour, judgement and relationships.
How we operate
These are the rules that decide which engagements we take, how we prepare a business, and what we will and will not say on a founder's behalf.
No conversation is facilitated until the business can withstand scrutiny. Preparation protects the founder and respects the investor's time.
We describe what a business is, not what it could be claimed to be.
A small number of well-matched conversations outperforms a wide, untargeted list every time.
The founder leads the conversation. We prepare the material, the framing and the answers, but the relationship belongs to them, and so does the decision.
Investment decisions rest entirely with independent investors.
